Yo Gang!
We have had record setting pollen this past week here in Atlanta. Tuesday was over 8,500, and Wednesday was over 9,600!! The highest we've ever had. I believe the Sudafed stock went sky high, at least by the Southern Region anyway :-). There was so much pollen it was almost like snow here. Whew! Thankfully it's rained the last couple of days and it's down to a 1,000 - yeah - still high for normal standards, but I'll take that over the ultra-high numbers. Okay.. let's push that pollen out of the way and get down to what's up this week....
BACHMAN BOOKS SCRATCH AND DENT SALE - We have a few copies that have some imperfections and that we cannot sell at list price. These were sitting in a warehouse for quite some time and a few copies acquired a small stain, a bent page, etc. Minor issues but we can't sell as new (new copies are still available). Due to the low quantity this is an e-mail special only and isn't on the website.
BACHMAN BOOKS SLIPCASE - It turns out we have a small overage of slipcases that we produced for this hardcover, that can fit some of the other releases. Not exact, but still a good bargain at this price. Read more details below.
ROAD RAGE - by King, Hill, & Matheson has "two" cover sets. Set A & Set B. Anyone who pre-ordered has Cover Set A already reserved for them. Cover Set B is a new announcement and we are offering it here for the first time.
Issue No. 1 (of 4) in both set A & B was out of print before publication! In fact there is now a 2nd printing of No. 1. So here is your chance to pick these up and this guarantees your 1st Printing from the Overlook.

OVERVIEW: IDW Publishing is proud to announce ROAD RAGE, a new partnership with best-selling authors Stephen King and Joe Hill, to produce a comic-book adaptation of their co-written adventure tale, Throttle. This monthly two-part series begins in February, and will be followed by two issues adapting the story that inspired Throttle, Richard Matheson’s classic tale of suspense, Duel, beginning in April.
“Throttle is a story that really begs for a visual adaptation: it’s got bikes and badasses and lots of expensive rolling iron blowing up and getting smashed,” said Hill. “Who doesn't get off on that? I can’t wait to see IDW get behind the wheel and take the thing out for a spin.”
Throttle, the first collaboration between father-and-son King and Hill, was not only inspired by Matheson’s Duel, it also only appeared in print in a limited-edition anthology honoring Matheson’s works, He is Legend. Throttle and Duel were subsequently released as an audiobook called Road Rage, which is the banner title the comics will also carry.
Throttle tells the story of a motorcycle gang pursued by an unseen assailant in a big rig, but as might be expected knowing the talent involved, things aren’t exactly as they seem.
